*********TBGUN QB CONTROVERSY BEFORE FALL CAMP EVEN STARTS?***********

INCOMING ACTION MESSAGE FROM HaveBlue OPERATIVES

“TBGUN will be starting three new key position players on offense this fall; QB, TB and Center.  This is the first time in thirty years this has happened to them.  As you would expect, the jury is out on all three players, however of biggest concern quietly within the coaching ranks is the QB.

Gutierrez has never started for TBGUN.  There are concerns about his ability to check off and correctly nail the 2nd and 3rd choice in the highly touted receiving corp. for TBGUN.  Additionally, he has been inconsistent with both the deep ball and long crossing routes.  While this should improve with game-day experience and repetition, there is a rapidly growing movement promoting the fortunes of incoming super-hot Freshman Chad Henne, who was the number one QB in last year’s recruiting class nationally.  His performance (which was very good, despite the misleading statistics) in Saturday night’s Big “33” game will do nothing but pour raw jet fuel on these flames.

Many within TBGUN were tracking the progress of Henne in the Big “33” week long practices, noting that he took the starting role from highly ranked Anthony Morelli, the local Pennsylvania favorite who is headed to Penn State.  With the pro-Pennsylvania sentiment toward the game already high due to wanting revenge for last year’s shellacking by the Ohio all-stars, the replacement of Morelli as starter was seen by many here as an omen for Henne.

HaveBlue operatives deep within the organization have learned that specifically, Henne had a very impressive showing in practices, throwing lasers with precision timing.  Observers say he is also way ahead of expectations regarding his understanding of the game.  Coaches and recruiters have also noted that for his age, Henne has an uncanny ability to learn and then apply very, very quickly.  His performance during the Big “33” game gave him the opportunity to strut his stuff, which he did with the precision and poise normally seen with a junior in college.  He hit several long receivers in stride, was able to check-off primary receivers like it was second nature and actually saved an Ohio touchdown on a blocked punt by catching up to the Ohio runner from behind.

It was very apparent from Chad’s outstanding performance at the Big 33 game on Sat. night that any “perceived” controversy may develop into a full blown issue once camp starts for TBGUN.  JUST REMEMBER, YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST.  HaveBlue operatives will be watching this closely, and will have more to report soon. I guess the real question might be, "if TBGUN starts a true Freshman, will he be able to handle the humiliation of losing to OSU 4 times?"  No other Wolverine QB has had to endure that torture...

Don’t look now, but there are many antsy people close to the TBGUN program regarding the QB, and it’s only July!  These people………………..”

PJSBUCK: (spoken very softly)  As you can see, the transmission from our HaveBlue operatives for some reason ended abruptly, so we will have to wait for their next report.  Until then, GO BUCKS!
