1) Until he was injured his senior year, he and William White had locked down the corners since they were freshmen in 1984

4) Scored Ohio State’s only touchdown on a pass from Kirk Herbstreit in the world-famous 13-13 “greatest win ever” in 1992
5) Was his era’s Todd Boeckman- rode the bench as a senior captain in favor of sophomore Corny Greene
6) Helped pave the way for Vince Workman and Carlos Snow on OSU’s O-line in the mid-to-late 1980’s
7) Starting tight end on the ’76 team; was the intended target of a Jim Pacenta pass that got picked off in the endzone late in the first half against Michigan
8) Completed a clutch pass- his only throw of the day- to sustain the winning march in Ann Arbor in Earle’s last game
9) Keith Jackson was referring to him when he said about football-mad Columbus “It’s the only town I know where a tight end can grow up to be mayor”
10) He and his sibling became the first brothers to be captains since the Griffin’s
