At the height of the cold war in the mid-1970’s, the United States realized we needed an airplane that could defeat any Soviet missile installation in the world. This lead to the above-top-secret project that produced the F117 Nighthawk Stealth Jet. The development of this aircraft was considered one of the most closely guarded secrets in American history, second only behind the infamous Manhattan Project (development of the atomic bomb during World War II). The original name of the first prototype airplane for the F-117 was called,
“HaveBlue.”
What does this have to do with Buckeye football?
For the first time in history, and presented exclusively here on the Buckeye 50 Yard Line will be a confidential inside report on the goings-on of the Buckeye’s most hated rival, The Bad Guys Up North(TBGUN). We have secretly infiltrated the most confidential inner circles in Michigan Football and have access to information that in some cases may not even be known to the local fans. I make no bones about my love for Ohio State football. Moreover, while I will attempt to make these reports as accurate and succinct as possible, there will be times when bias and humor may show through. Though I am in Columbus, make no mistake; I have several operatives in positions of knowledge deep within The Evil Empire.
Like most covert operations, it needs a code name. In honor of the former ultra top-secret project that produced the F117 Nighthawk, we have decided to call this stealthy and covert mission: “HaveBlue”
“HaveBlue” will be the link on our website for information into what the TBGUN are doing. This will include injury reports, recruiting updates, game tendencies, private post-game reports, coaches meetings, strategies, tactics and any other covert information all true Buckeyes need to know. In order to prepare for THE GAME, WE – MUST - KNOW - know the enemy as well as ourselves.
