Outside the Stadium on the University of Washington campus, the Huskies proudly display their purple 'W'
One difference with the Huskie tailgate parties was they decorate
with stuffed animals, do we use that many stuffed Bruti?
Ohio State 33 Washington 14
Our Buckeyes made their first road trip of the year and came away from Seattle with 33-14 victory. Coach Willingham is certainly doing much better than is former school this season but his Huskies were no match for OSU's young squad. We managed only 3 points in the first half for the second consecutive week but were able to take control in the second half to give the Big Ten a shot in the arm. A bit different than normal, here are a few pre-game photos to show you a different perspective to the day.
Another major difference in their tailgate experience is that many of the Huskie fans celebrate from their yachts
The Huskie player buses arrive at the stadium, but there were
more fans lining the streets for the OSU buses
Buckeye 50 did a story on this trunk last year, but this was the first time I got to see the truck in person, very impressive
OSU fans show their true support as families like this one traveled across the country to cheer on the Buckeyes
The Band travels to support the team too as the Alumni Band entertained the fans from the closed end of the stadium
Rest assured, this Buckeye fan was not on the field as this is not a regulation protective helmet
This is a 'real' helmet, and here during warm-ups Laurinaitis was thinking "I think I will get two interceptions today"
As the game began, the 8000+ Buckeye Fans did their best
to cheer the Bucks on to the field
But the Husky Stadium noise level was everything it was advertised
as the roar rose from the purple fan base
The OSU cheerleaders raise the spirits of the crowd even when the team only manages a field goal in the first half
The Buckeyes go 3-0 with the solid 33-14 victory
Over 200 yachts were docked outside the stadium, and most fans
had their Washington mugs in hand
