Boilermaker fans were ready for the Buckeyes, and had their yards decorated for the occasion

Both teams entered the field of play undefeated, and Ohio State basically left Purdue on the field battered and beaten. They controlled the ball on offense, dominated the Boilermakers on defense and had them shut out until there were only 10 seconds remaining in the game. The win also gave them the opportunity to stay on pace with the elite teams in the country. Four more teams in the Top Ten came up short and the Buckeyes moved to #3 in all the polls.
