OSU's opens the 2011 season with a shutout victory over the Akron Zips. In all, 13 'true' freshman saw playing time and as you would have expected with Vrabel on the coaching staff, the Sliver Bullets live on! Both quarterbacks, Joe Bauserman and Braxton Miller played a great game and some new names in the receiving group gave OSU opponents something to worry about.
I guess if you didn't want to be seen in a #2 jersey, you can always make your own alterations like this gentleman did with a black sharpie and a little red masking tape
The final score was 42-0 and to be honest, it wasn't even that close. Toledo will be a bigger test, Go Bucks!
There were a lot of new names and faces on the offensive line but everyone played like a pro week 1
How hot was it? The mascots took refuge in the ice bin!
