1969 OSU-Michigan Game Revisited ... Again and Again
May 25, 2015

For those that don't me very well, I have decent sized collection of OSU football programs that go back to the 1930's.  The off season is a good time to get some decent deals on programs from eBay.  Recently I found an auction for three programs from OSU-Michigan games that I was missing in my collection.  This included the 2007 season.  First, I give credit to the Michigan fan (goo_bluee_fb) for his professionalism on the sale.  The programs were delivered quickly in perfect condition.

As I looked through the 2007 program, I noticed one glaring and alarming fact.  They highlighted the 1969 OSU-Michigan not once, or twice, but FOUR times.  Granted, the loss basically cost Ohio State a national championship but it was being labeled the greatest victory in Michigan football history.  Has everything since then been downhill, including the 1997 national championship season?  In reality, some may view the fate of Michigan football has been downhill recently, at least since the lost to OSU in the 2006 game.  Maybe that is why they felt the need to focus on the 1969 victory that next season in their program.

Michigan Will Return To Use Of Helmet Stickers
March 23, 2015

Harbaugh is back. does that mean that award stickers will return too?

A report by Chris Balas of Rivals.com says Michigan will bring back helmet stickers this coming season. When Michigan last wore helmet stickers on their winged helmets the sticker depicted a wolverine. Will that be making a return, or might the block “M” be used instead? No word on whether uniform numbers will also appear on the helmets this season, although it would start to look really cluttered if they did alongside the helmet stickers.  Funny, it never really seems cluttered on OSU's helmet.

However, right now, nothing's been made official.  A Michigan spokesman said today the school has nothing official to report on any uniform or helmet looks/changes for the 2015 season at this time.  Earlier in the day, TheWolverine.com reported that Michigan will be doing away with its "Legends" jerseys and bring back the helmet stickers legendary former coach Bo Schembechler brought to the school decades ago.

At this time, though, Michigan says no final decision has been made on either topic.

2015 Game Time Announced
November 2, 2015

The official countdown clocks can now be set.  The 112th meeting on the football field between Ohio State and Michigan will kick off at noon.

It will be the first meeting in the series between Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer and Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh. The Wolverines lead the all-time series 58-47-6, but the Buckeyes have won 12 of the last 14, including all three since Meyer took over as head coach for the 2012 season.
