Boren Transfers To Ohio State

Offensive lineman Justin Boren has decided to transfer from Michigan to Ohio State. Pickerington's Boren left the UM program last month stating that he was 'disenchanted' with the new Michigan coaching staff. He was a starter for the Wolverines in 2007 as a sophomore, he will need to sit out one year and will join the Buckeyes for the 2009 season. Because of Big Ten rules he will not be eligible for a scholarship, the same rule which affected Anthony Schlegel a few years ago when he transferred from Air Force. What this will do to the rivalry remains to be seen but the fact that his father, Mike Boren, played at Michigan and Bo Schembechler, will add an interesting twist to the lore of 'THE' Game.
